Acceptance of the House Rules
In accordance with applicable legislation, these House Rules are displayed in each apartment and are available on the Riverside Toulouse website at www.riverside-toulouse.com. They apply to all reservations, regardless of the booking platform used. By confirming a reservation and commencing a stay, guests acknowledge and accept these House Rules in their entirety, together with any specific booking conditions applicable to their reservation. Any guest taking possession of an apartment shall be deemed to have read, understood, and accepted all provisions contained herein.
Compliance with Local Regulations
Riverside Toulouse complies with all applicable laws and regulations governing furnished tourist accommodation and short-term rentals. Guests undertake to comply with all applicable laws, regulations and requirements issued by the competent authorities throughout the duration of their stay.
Registration
Reservations are strictly personal. The person making the reservation may not book on behalf of another person, nor assign, transfer or sublet the accommodation to any third party without the prior written consent of Riverside Toulouse. Check-in time shall be that specified in the booking confirmation or on the booking platform used.
Check-out, Keys and Damages
The accommodation must be vacated no later than the check-out time stated in the booking confirmation. Any occupation of the accommodation beyond the scheduled check-out time shall automatically incur a fixed charge of €50,
payable from the first minute of delay. Each additional hour, or part thereof, shall incur a further charge of €50. Upon expiry of the stay, the guest shall be deemed to be occupying the accommodation without any legal right or entitlement. Pursuant to Article L.324-2-1 of the French Tourism Code, guests staying in tourist accommodation have no legal right to remain on the premises after the end of their stay. In the event of refusal to vacate the accommodation, Riverside Toulouse reserves the right to take any necessary legal action to recover possession of the premises. Upon departure, guests must return the apartment, parking space and all equipment in the same condition as upon arrival, allowing for normal wear and tear. The property may be inspected after departure to identify any damage, loss, or missing items. Any damage, loss or deterioration attributable to the guest or to their visitors shall be charged at the actual cost of repair or replacement. Guests must ensure that the key box is securely closed before leaving. Any loss of, or damage to, a key, access badge or key fob shall incur a charge of €200.
Extended Stay
Any request to extend a stay is subject to accommodation availability. An extension shall be confirmed only after full payment has been received, no later than 9:00 a.m. on the day the initial reservation expires. In the event of nonpayment, Riverside Toulouse reserves the right to allocate the accommodation to another guest.
Guest Identification
In accordance with applicable regulations, Riverside Toulouse collects the information necessary to identify its guests. Such personal data is processed in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The person making the reservation remains responsible for all persons included in the booking throughout the duration of the stay. A reservation may not be assigned or transferred to a third party without the prior written consent of Riverside Toulouse. The holder of the payment card used to make the reservation shall be deemed to be the contractual guest responsible for the stay.
Registered Guests and Visitors
Only persons registered for the reservation are authorised to stay in the accommodation. Each registered guest may receive a maximum of two visitors at the same time, exclusively between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., provided that such visitors comply with these House Rules. The presence of any unregistered person outside these conditions may result in additional charges and may lead to the immediate termination of the accommodation agreement.
Responsibility for Visitors
The person making the reservation is fully responsible for the conduct of their visitors. They shall be liable for any damage, disturbance, neighbourhood nuisance or breach of these House Rules committed by their visitors.
Maximum Occupancy
The number of occupants must never exceed the maximum occupancy stated in the reservation. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in the immediate termination of the accommodation agreement without reimbursement of any remaining nights.
Age and Accessibility
The accommodation at Riverside Toulouse is not suitable for persons with reduced mobility. Children under 7 years of age are not permitted. Guests under the age of 18 years may not stay unaccompanied and must remain under the continuous supervision of a responsible adult. Riverside Toulouse shall not be held liable for any consequences arising from inadequate supervision.
Cancellation Policy
Any cancellation shall be governed exclusively by the cancellation terms applicable to the reservation, whether the booking was made directly with Riverside Toulouse or through a third-party booking platform.
Pricing Policy, Security Deposit and Tourist Tax
Guests generally receive the best available rates by booking directly on the official Riverside Toulouse website at www.riverside-toulouse.com. Depending on the booking channel, a security deposit may be required. Such a deposit may take the form of a pre-authorisation or a temporary hold on the guest’s payment card and shall be released following inspection of the accommodation, provided that no damage, loss or breach of these House Rules has been identified. In accordance with applicable regulations, a tourist tax may be charged per person per night and remitted to the competent local authority as required by French law.
Strict Noise Policy
Quiet hours are from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Guests must avoid making excessive noise and respect the peace and quiet of neighbouring residents. Conversations, televisions, radios, electronic devices and any other sources of noise must be kept at a reasonable volume so as not to disturb others. Sounding vehicle horns in the street, around the building or in the parking area is strictly prohibited. Guests undertake to comply with these House Rules and the building’s condominium regulations. Repeated or serious disturbances may result in the termination of the accommodation agreement under the conditions set out in Article 14.
Penalties for Disturbances
In the event of excessive noise, neighbourhood disturbances, parties or disruptive behaviour, whether observed by management or reported by neighbouring residents, Riverside Toulouse may immediately terminate the accommodation agreement and require the guest to leave the premises without refund or compensation. In such circumstances, the guest shall be deemed solely responsible for the early termination of the accommodation agreement.
No-Smoking Policy
In accordance with French Decree No. 2006-1386 of 15 November 2006, smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited in apartments and common areas of the building. Any breach of this rule may result in a €200 deodorisation fee (incl. VAT), without prejudice to any additional compensation if the damage suffered exceeds this amount.
Damage to the Apartments
The guest who made the reservation is responsible for any loss, deterioration, or damage caused by them, by persons accompanying them, or by their visitors. Any missing or damaged item shall be charged at the actual cost of its replacement or repair. Where damage renders the accommodation unavailable for subsequent bookings, Riverside Toulouse reserves the right to claim compensation for the actual loss suffered, including any loss resulting from cancelled reservations directly attributable to such damage.
Use of Equipment
All equipment provided in the apartments, including household appliances, televisions, heating, air conditioning, furniture and other facilities, must be used only for their intended purpose. Any abnormal or improper use shall engage the guest’s liability and may result in charges for repair or replacement of the damaged equipment.
Luggage Storage and Safe
Riverside Toulouse does not provide luggage storage. Safes are available in certain apartments. Subject to the mandatory provisions governing the liability of hotel operators under French law, Riverside Toulouse declines all liability for the loss, theft or deterioration of personal belongings left in the accommodation or not deposited in the safe.
Personal Belongings and Security
Guests must ensure that all doors, windows and access points are securely locked whenever they leave the accommodation. Riverside Toulouse shall not be held liable for the loss, theft or deterioration of guests’ personal belongings, except where liability arises under mandatory provisions of applicable law.
Lost Property
Any perishable item, food, medication or hygiene product left on the premises shall be disposed of immediately, without any entitlement to compensation. Guests must report any forgotten items within 24 hours
of their departure. Subject to the item having been found, identified, and remaining in the possession of Riverside Toulouse, the establishment may, at its sole discretion and without any obligation to do so, arrange for its shipment. Shipment is subject to prior payment of the shipping costs, together with a €39 (incl. VAT) administration fee, which covers the costs of locating the item, administrative processing, packaging, and preparation for dispatch. Alternatively, the guest may collect the item in person, by appointment only, within a maximum period of 30 days from the date it was reported, during the opening hours communicated by Riverside Toulouse. Riverside Toulouse shall have no obligation to retain the item beyond this 30-day period. Riverside Toulouse shall not be held liable if the reported item is not found, nor for any loss, damage or delay attributable to the carrier responsible for its transportation.
Cleaning Services
Cleaning services provided during the stay may be charged in accordance with the booking conditions. Any exceptional cleaning made necessary by an unusually poor state of cleanliness, damage or clearly improper use of the accommodation may result in additional charges corresponding to the actual costs incurred by Riverside Toulouse.
Energy Consumption
Guests undertake to use heating, air conditioning, water and electrical equipment responsibly. Any clearly excessive or abusive consumption resulting in high additional costs for Riverside Toulouse may give rise to additional charges, provided that such charges are duly justified.
Apartment Keys
All keys, access badges and entry devices remain the property of Riverside Toulouse. They must not be copied or entrusted to any third party. Any loss, damage or failure to return them shall result in a charge of €200 (incl. VAT).
Use of Balconies
Throwing objects, cigarette butts, liquids or waste from balconies or windows is strictly prohibited. The use of barbecues, braziers, or any appliance that produces an open flame is strictly prohibited.
Animals
Pets are not permitted, except where required by law. In the event of non-compliance with this rule, any cleaning, deodorisation or restoration costs deemed necessary may be charged to the guest.
Dangerous Items
Weapons, ammunition, explosives, flammable materials, hazardous substances, illegal drugs or any other item likely to endanger persons or property are strictly prohibited anywhere on the premises.
Prohibited Activities
Parties, gatherings, commercial activities, subletting, gambling, prostitution, the use or trafficking of illegal drugs, and any other unlawful activity are strictly prohibited. Audiovisual productions, professional photo shoots, live streaming, commercial recordings or any media production are not permitted without the prior written authorisation of Riverside Toulouse.
Use of Furniture
Beds, mattresses, sofas, tables or any other furniture must not be moved from their original location without the prior consent of Riverside Toulouse.
Use of Common Areas
Visitors are not permitted to access the common areas of the residence after 9:00 p.m., unless expressly authorised by Riverside Toulouse. Guests must respect the cleanliness, peace, order and safety of the common areas. The consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited in these areas. Leaving glass objects in the common areas is also prohibited.
Waste Management
Household waste must be disposed of in the designated waste bins near the residence entrance. Guests are required to comply with local waste-sorting and recycling requirements, where applicable.
Parking
Parking is permitted only in the designated parking spaces. Riverside Toulouse accepts no liability for theft, attempted theft, damage or loss affecting vehicles or their contents, except where liability is imposed by mandatory law.
Misconduct
Any act of violence, threat, insult, harassment, aggressive behaviour, obvious intoxication, use of illegal drugs, serious disturbance or any behaviour likely to compromise the safety, peace or proper operation of the establishment may result in the immediate termination of the accommodation agreement and the guest’s immediate departure without refund or compensation.
Security and video surveillance
The entrances and surrounding areas of the residence are monitored by video surveillance to ensure the safety of persons and property, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the French Internal Security Code, and applicable legislation. Information regarding the processing of CCTV recordings may be obtained from Riverside Toulouse.
Fire Safety
It is strictly prohibited to tamper with, dismantle, cover or damage smoke detectors or any fire safety equipment. Any damage, unjustified activation, or intervention necessitated by the guest’s misconduct may result in charges covering the cost of repairs and any related interventions.
Emergencies and Safety
In the event of an emergency (fire, accident, medical emergency, gas leak or any other event endangering persons or property), guests must immediately call 112 (European Emergency Number), 18
(Fire Brigade) or 17 (Police), depending on the nature of the emergency. Guests must also inform Riverside Toulouse as soon as possible.
Internet Use
The Wi-Fi network provided by Riverside Toulouse is intended solely for lawful use. Any use in breach of applicable laws or regulations, including illegal downloading, dissemination of unlawful content, computer hacking or infringement of third-party rights, shall remain the sole responsibility of the guest. Riverside Toulouse reserves the right to suspend Internet access in the event of unlawful or abusive use.
Guest Complaints
Any complaint relating to the stay should be submitted as soon as possible by email to [email protected] in order to enable Riverside Toulouse to investigate and address the matter promptly. Guests are encouraged to report any issue encountered during their stay without delay so that, where possible, corrective action may be taken.
Telephone Call Recording
Telephone calls with Riverside Toulouse may be recorded, after the caller has been informed in advance, for the purposes of service quality improvement, staff training and evidential purposes in the event of a dispute, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
and the French Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés). Guests may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection or any other rights relating to their personal data by contacting [email protected].
Reservation Verification
Riverside Toulouse reserves the right to request, before or during the stay, the presentation of a valid government-issued identity document together with the payment card used to make the reservation, in accordance with applicable law. Where there is a legitimate suspicion of fraud, identity theft, fraudulent payment or unauthorised use of a payment method, the reservation may be refused or cancelled without prejudice to any legal proceedings.
Management Rights and Access to the Accommodation
Management and duly authorised staff may enter the accommodation in the event of an emergency, a technical issue, where necessary to ensure the safety of persons or property, to carry out essential maintenance or where these House Rules have been breached. In the event of a serious breach of these House Rules, Riverside Toulouse may immediately terminate the accommodation agreement and require the guest to leave the premises, without prejudice to any claim for damages.
Unlawful Entry and Illegal Occupation
Pursuant to Article 226-4 of the French Criminal Code, any unlawful entry into, or occupation of, accommodation without authorisation constitutes a criminal offence under French law. In the event of unlawful occupation or refusal to vacate the accommodation at the end of the stay, Riverside Toulouse may immediately request the intervention of the competent authorities and initiate any legal proceedings available under applicable law.
Disclaimer of Liability
Riverside Toulouse shall not be held liable for any disturbance or inconvenience beyond its reasonable control, including, but not limited to, construction work, strikes, utility outages, public events, demonstrations, adverse weather conditions, administrative decisions, or any other external event beyond its control.
Force Majeure
Riverside Toulouse shall not be liable for any total or partial failure to perform its obligations where such failure results from an event of force majeure within the meaning of Article 1218 of the French Civil Code, or from any event beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, administrative decisions, widespread utility failures or any other unforeseeable and irresistible event.
Fraud and Payment Disputes
Any fraud, attempted fraud, fraudulent use of a payment method, false declaration, abusive chargeback or unjustified payment dispute may give rise to civil and/or criminal proceedings, together with the recovery of all outstanding sums, costs and any damages suffered by Riverside Toulouse.
Governing Law and Disputes
These House Rules and Terms & Conditions of Stay shall be governed by the laws of France. In the event of a dispute, the parties shall endeavour to resolve the matter amicably. In the absence of an amicable settlement, any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts in accordance with applicable legal provisions.
Amendments to the House Rules
Riverside Toulouse reserves the right to amend these House Rules and Terms & Conditions of Stay at any time to reflect changes in legislation, regulations, or the operational requirements of the establishment. The version applicable to the guest shall be the version in force on the date the reservation is made.
